SUMMARY

The case concerns the Central Hawke’s Bay Proposed District Plan. An appeal was made in which one of the appellants (Forest and Bird) sought to amend a provision to include consideration of climate change risks [54]. The judgment contains much discussion of protection of indigenous biodiversity but otherwise no further elaboration on climate change (though, as above, the Appendix contains documents which refer to climate change at length).
