SUMMARY

An application was made, to subdivide the review site into four lots. As part of its consideration of the application, the Moyne Shire Council requested a Coastal Hazard Vulnerability Assessment (CHVA). The Tribunal found that the vulnerability of the site to coastal hazards justified further consideration. The Tribunal held that a 'staged' approach to the assessment was warranted, first a preliminary assessment, and then based on the findings of that assessment, a CHVA, if required.
