SUMMARY

Environmental Justice Australia submitted a trio of complaints on behalf of five young people living in Australia. The EJA requests that the Special Rapporteurs on human rights and the environment, on the rights of Indigenous peoples and on the rights of persons with disabilities, consider the grievances contained in the communication and to give effect to the complainants’ requests. The complaint relates to the ‘Human rights harms of the Australian government’s Nationally Determined Contribution and inaction on climate change’.
