Application for judicial review. Respondent Minister made decision concerning target for reducing harmful greenhouse gas emissions. Finding that respondent's obligation to review year 2050 target did not arise pursuant to (NZ) Climate Change Response Act 2002 (Act) s 225(3)(a). Finding that respondent did not breach Act by not reviewing target following updated international climate change reports. Finding that 2030 target was consistent with global temperature goal under relevant international agreement. Finding that review of 2030 target was open under international framework and to set new 2030 target was open under domestic law. Application dismissed.
