SUMMARY

Motorimu Wind Farm appealed a city council’s partial denial of resource consents for a proposed wind farm. The court found, notwithstanding the contribution of the wind turbines to renewable energy, the adverse effects of the additional turbines on the Motorimu landscape and the adverse effects on nearby community amenity went too far.
